The SGPC Story
In 1998, looking to the future, First Presbyterian Church Georgetown saw the opportunity for a new Presbyterian Church to serve the anticipated growth on the west side of Georgetown. With the help of Mission Presbytery, the dream was planted and a group of 12 worshipers came together to start the process of becoming a church. The support from First Presbyterian has been vital to the success of San Gabriel.
In July 2002, with 100 members, San Gabriel was chartered by the Presbyterian Church USA. Soon after the chartering, San Gabriel launched a building campaign and in February 2007 the congregation moved into the current building.

SGPC 2020 Vision
"I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5
Because we are a branch of Christ, we will minister to every generation by nurturing the young, caring for the aging, and providing worship for all of God's children.
Our Faith Statement
God is one, yet exists eternally in three persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom equally possess all the attributes of the deity. Jesus Christ is the "way, the truth, and the life."
The Holy Spirit is active and present in the life of every believer and was sent into the world by the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit opens the Word of Life to us and guides and directs our daily lives as we allow.
The Bible is inspired by God and through His Son, Jesus Christ, and is the Living Word.
Salvation is totally a work of God's free grace through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ and is appropriated by faith.
We comply with the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which includes the Book of Confessions and the Book of Order.
